How to choose a Velvet specification

Judge the pile, not the weight
A short dense pile photographs matte; a long pile glints under hotel lighting.

Choose a reverse
Coated reverse blocks more light, matte reverse keeps the elevation reading as fabric.

Allow for body
At 380 gsm a panel needs a 2.2× gather, not the 1.8× used for linen.

Plan the clean
Velvet is dry-clean only. Specify removable hooks so panels can leave the rail.

Panels ship rolled on a tube, face out. Any crush marks lift after 48 hours hanging.
Is velvet suitable for hotels?
Yes, at 380 gsm with a matte reverse and NFPA 701 treatment.
Can I get a non-blackout velvet?
Uncoated velvet is available in the same colourways — ask sales for the UV- line.
What is the MOQ?
